2. We offer 3 sets in our newborn session package but we don't limit it there. As long as baby is cooperative, we can give more sets without extra cost

WHAT'S OUR NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?

Our approach and style to newborn photography is clean, timeless and minimalist, with an emphasis on your baby as the main subject. With our new process this 2020, we no longer do themed-sessions for newborn photography. Anyway, you can do themed-sessions during Pre-birthday Shoot. We just don't want too many stuffs in one photo that would go beyond the main subject, which is your baby. You can suggest colors that you love and we'll start from there.

WHAT PROPS DO YOU USE?

We use generic / themeless props most of the time. We have lots of stuffs in our studio that we can mix-and-match to create a lovely setup. Outfits can be cute but I usually don't let newborns wear outfit during the session because changing outfits can startle and wake them up and when that happens, some poses can no longer be achieved. After all, our goal is to be able to achieve many sets possible without waking the baby up. I only use outfits for older babies since we can no longer achieve some poses that are intended for newborn babies.

Client is responsible for bringing any additional props that they would like in their photos, especially if they wanted a unique setup for the baby.

CLEANLINESS: Sam Orlanes Photography puts the highest priority on prop and furnishing cleanliness. We see to it that the props and outfits are cleaned and washed every after use using baby detergent. Studio is also disinfected and cleaned every after use.

WHAT'S THE IDEAL AGE FOR NEWBORN SESSION?

AGE MATTERS: Best time to do newborn session is between 5-12 days old. At this age, babies still have that magical womb-like behavior. They are still flexible enough to do certain poses and they easily fall back to sleep. With only a window of few days, you only have one chance to have the best newborn poses captured.

WHAT POSES DO YOU  DO FOR NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY?

These are the standard poses I do in Newborn Photography.

However, the success of those poses would greatly rely on your baby.  That's why it's important to schedule it within the recommended age range. After they reach that twelve-day mark, expect less sleep and more movement during the session. Thus, certain poses are no longer guaranteed. * The Bucket and Froggy pose can only be achieved if baby is in deep sleep. We'll work on your baby according to it's mood /cooperation.

DO YOU ACCEPT BABIES BEYOND 12 DAYS OLD?

Yes. We'll work on the baby according to it's mood and cooperation. Some newborn poses can no longer be achieved but it's totally fine because I have alternative setup and poses for older newborn babies.

HOW SOON SHOULD I BOOK A SESSION?

You can book as soon as you give birth so that we can schedule it as soon as possible, especially that there's an ideal age for newborn session. If you prefer a weekend appointment, you need to book early since weekend slots are booked fast.

DO YOU OFFER HOME SESSIONS?

We highly recommend to do the session at our studio since I have easy access to all my props, ideal low ceiling height and wall paint for photoshoot, sanitized and very clean space, props and photography gears are cleaned and not exposed to outside contaminants. Covered parking area is just in front of the studio so you don't have to walk far. Location is never crowded and security is tight.

 

But for those who really can't travel to our studio, we can arrange a HOME SESSION with an additional fee (depends on your location).

HOME SESSION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Parking space for my car near or in front of your house (I'll be bringing many stuffs that's why I need to park nearby)

2. At least 8ft stretch of space (preferably sala)

3. Light/white/neutral painted walls (dark or bright colored walls will bounce back leaving undesirable color shadows to the photo)

WHAT ARE THE IMPORTANT REMINDERS BEFORE NEWBORN SESSION?

1.  FEED YOUR BABY right before the session. A full belly helps a baby stay sleepy for their shoot. Hungry babies wake up often and crying. Try to also keep baby awake 1-2 hours prior to the session so that they may sleep during the shoot.

2. AGE MATTERS. Best newborn poses are captured within 5-12 days old. Babies at this age will treat you to cosy, sleepy, curled up poses. Older newborn babies, on the other hand, are more aware, interactive and expressive. They can be cooperative but sometimes grumpy. Outcome of the shoot would still depend on baby's mood.

3. BABY CLOTHES: To ensure baby doesn’t get disturbed while being unclothed, he/she must wear clothes that can easily be removed.

4. LIMIT NUMBER OF GUESTS. Due to limited studio space, we only limit people coming in to our studio (max of 5 adults)

5. ARRIVE ON TIME. In consideration to our next appointment, we highly request clients to be on time. We might run out of time if we start late. Thus, we are not liable if we can’t capture the best photos of your baby due to tardiness.

6. NO PETS & REMOVE SHOES inside the studio.

7. WEAR COMFORTABLE CLOTHES. During a newborn session, the room will be heated to a temperature that makes it possible for STUDIO to pose the newborn without clothes. Please be aware of the heat of the session and dress accordingly.

 

CAN WE HAVE OUR FAMILY PHOTO TAKEN AFTER THE NEWBORN SESSION?

Yes. With a minimal add on fee, we can take family photos right after the newborn session. If is highly recommended that you and your family wear Light / White / Pastel - colored outfits for the family photo session. Regular Family Session Rate applies should you wish to include cousins, aunt/uncle, grandparents.

HOW MANY PICTURES SHOULD I EXPECT TO GET FROM THE SESSION?

You should expect 50 images, all professionally retouched.

WHEN CAN WE GET THE PHOTOS FROM THE SESSION?

Lead time is 2 weeks and it will be sent via google drive.
